Cloud networking delivers for DAQRI
Meraki makes high performance wireless connectivity an actuality for DAQRI, a fast growing augmented reality company that’s revolutionising how people interact with computers, machines and entertainment media.
Rapid deployment of a new high-performance network for a global AR leader
Founded in 2010, DAQRI is the world’s leading enterprise augmented reality (AR) company. As part of what it calls ‘the next industrial revolution’, its innovative hardware and software are redefining what’s possible with AR, and shaping the future of work.
In March 2016, DAQRI acquired 1066 Labs, a niche manufacturer of augmented reality solutions with offices in Britain and the US. The takeover also provided DAQRI with an opportunity to relocate its UK headquarters to a new site, set in 18 acres of woodland in East Sussex.
Ahead of the move, DAQRI asked Cisco Meraki to recommend a local partner it could work with to order the necessary kit, then prepare and deploy a new high-performance WiFi network. Cisco Meraki picked us.
Our schedule of work for the network setup included Cisco Meraki switches, high density WiFi, security appliances, cabinets, Cisco IP phones and screens. We took full ownership of the project, validating design specifications and ensuring all the appropriate devices were in place before DAQRI’s IT Director, Jason Sting, flew in from the company’s global head office in Los Angeles to oversee the installation process.
We completed the network implementation within the very tight timeframes we’d been allocated, allowing DAQRI to meet its own schedule for getting services up and running. A standard MX set up across its locations enable DAQRI to grow the network by simply downloading pre-configured settings from the cloud, which significantly reduces deployment times.
“Focus Integration delivered on their promises. Their input was incredibly valuable – and helped ensure a timely and hassle free deployment”
